Fire Rescuer Declared Hero for Rescuing Irritated Man in Faisalabad

FAISALABAD: Faisalabad District administration has declared an employee of Punjab Emergency Services (Rescue 1122) fire rescuer Abdul Rehman as “Hero Faisalabad 2022” because he had brought down an irritated man safely from the rooftop of Clock Tower.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) Imran Hamid Sheikh went to the residence of rescuer Abdul Rehman situated at Mohallah Siddique Abad Narwala Road, to appreciate his bravery in protecting the life of an angry man who wanted to commit suicide due to a delay in his marriage.

The DC also gave him a cash prize of Rs.50,000 along with an honorary shield and bouquet in recognition of his excellent performance in protecting a human.

Faisalabad Clock Tower incident

Although Abdul Rehman faced fierce resistance from an angry man, he remained calm and successfully brought him down safely, which was an excellent exercise for the entire Rescue 1122 department, he added.

The DC also interacted with the mother of fire rescuer Abdul Rehman and congratulated him on his son’s bravery. 

District Emergency Officer Rescue 1122 Ehtisham Wahla, Assistant Commissioner (AC) City Waqas Safdar Sikandri, and Incharge District Emergency Operational Center Muhammad Sadiq were also present on the occasion.
