ISLAMABAD: A high-level delegation from US-based defence and critical infrastructure company POWERUS on Wednesday called on Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and discussed avenues for cooperation in defence procurement, production and capacity building
The meeting between Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and the high-level delegation from POWERUS was held at the army headquarters, according to a statement issued by the military’s media affairs wing, ISPR.
The delegation, led by Mr. Robert Bret Velicovich, discussed matters of mutual interest, evolving trends in defence technology, and avenues for cooperation in defence procurement, production and capacity building with the army chief.
Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir highlighted the importance of technological innovation and advanced solutions in strengthening national security and resilience, ISPR said.
During the meeting, both sides expressed interest in further developing engagement in areas of mutual interest.

Pakistan-US defence cooperation
Pakistan-US defence cooperation has long focused on military training, counterterrorism, defence engagement, and professional exchanges.
The two countries maintain regular interactions between their armed forces, including high-level military dialogues and joint exercises, aimed at enhancing interoperability and strengthening bilateral security ties.
