ISLAMABAD: Left-arm pacer, Trent Boult has been dropped from the national squad, as he refused contact with the board due to league agreements.
Kiwis coach Gary Stead said that it was not easy to drop veterans Trent Boult and Martin Guptill but now the team has to look forward. This is also the reason for dropping Trent Boult, among others.
Gary Stead said, “We are aware of Trent Bolt’s world-class abilities, but we have to give others a chance for future events.”
On the other hand, New Zealand Cricket has announced the squads for the white ball series against India in which Tim Southee and Matt Henry are included in the ODI squad only while Kane Williamson will lead both the squad.
The series between India and New Zealand will begin on Friday, comprising three T20Is and three ODIs. T20 matches will be played on 18, 20, and 22 while ODI matches will be played on 25, 27, and 30 November 2022.
