QUETTA: A powerful blast triggered by gas leakage in a house in Quetta killed three people in the wee hours of Wednesday, local media reported.
According to details, the blast occurred in a house located at the Airport Road, killing 2 kids and a woman on the spot. Two people were critically injured in the gas explosion. Rescue teams have rushed to the spot and immediately shifted the dead bodies and injured to BMC Quetta. Rescue officials said that both wounded persons were in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the recent spell of heavy rains in various areas of Balochistan, has resulted in a tragic loss of 9 lives due to rain-related incidents.
The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) said that from February 27 to March 12, persistent rains lashed various districts, causing damage to residential structures.
PDMA said that a total of 259 houses were completely destroyed, while 1040 partially damaged due to heavy rains in the province.
