Exhibition of Photographs & Books on Quaid-i-Azam Begins in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Caretaker Federal Minister for National Heritage and Culture, Jamal Shah, inaugurated a ten-day exhibition of the photographs and books on Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah here at Heritage Museum, Lok Virsa Islamabad on Monday.

National Heritage and Culture Division, Lok Virsa, has planned the exhibition in collaboration with the National Library of Pakistan (NLP) and the National Archives of Pakistan.

Addressing the ceremony, the minister said that the National Heritage and Culture Division has planned a series of events from December 17th to December 28th during the exhibition where tribute would be paid to the Father of the Nation and Founder of Pakistan, adding that lectures from the thinkers, live performances, seminars, tableaus, etc, would be part of the event.

Purpose of Photographs and Books Exhibition

Jamal Shah further said that the purpose of the grand event was to highlight the heroic struggle of Quaid-e-Azam and his associates to get a separate and independent homeland for the Muslims of the subcontinent. 

“Our youth have tremendous potential, and I advise them to make the country prosperous by following the teachings of the Quaid-i-Azam and Allama Muhammad Iqbal in letter and spirit,” the minister said.

About the photo exhibition, Jamal Shah said that every photograph being displayed conveyed a story not only about Quaid’s life but also the great struggle of our leaders to achieve a separate homeland for Muslims of the sub-continent. 

The minister appreciated Lok Virsa, the National Library of Pakistan, and the National Archives of Pakistan for organizing such a rich and wonderful exhibition and book fair. 

Earlier, Executive Director Lok Virsa Muhammad Uzair Khanin, in his opening remarks, said that Lok Virsa, in collaboration with NLP and NAP, organized the exhibition under the aegis of the National Heritage and Culture Division, adding that the event was an effort to pay tributes to the Father of Nation Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for his valuable contribution towards the creation of Pakistan. 

Over 200 rare photographs and 500 historical books relating to the founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, and his companions were displayed at the event.

Meanwhile, singers also paid glowing tribute to the Father of the Nation by presenting ‘Mili Naghmas’ and got big applause from the audience. The exhibition will remain open till December 25th.
