‘English Vinglish’ All Set for Rerelease in China on Sri Devi’s Fifth Death Anniversary

ISLAMABAD/CHINA: The late Bollywood Sri Devi starrer ‘English Vinglish’ is set to rerelease in China in February to commemorate her fifth death anniversary.

Sri Devi’s this year’s death anniversary will be unforgettable for her followers with the rerelease of her much-acclaimed movie English Vinglish in China.

Eros International chief operating officer Kumar Ahuja has confirmed the movie’s release. 

In a statement, he said: “Indian movies have gradually gained a foothold in the competitive Chinese film market, the second biggest in the globe. We have seen an increasing demand for Indian movies in China Mainland, especially those culturally driven ones. We have excited for the audience in China to marvel at that masterpiece showcasing one of the memorable performances by the late Bollywood superstar Sri devi.”

Gauri Shinde’s directorial is a family drama movie that featured Sri Devi in a vital role. The movie story revolves around a woman named Shashi Godbole who is constantly let down by her family member for her weak English. The woman then found her strength after visiting New York.

English Vinglish also featured Adil Hussain, Mehdi Nabbou, Sumeet Vyasm Navika Kotia, Priya Anand and others, according to Pink Villa.
