LONDON: According to Global Firepower’s 2024 Military Strength Ranking, Egypt has the most powerful military in the Arab world, and is ranked 15th out of 145 nations.
As per the ranking Saudi Arabia has the second most powerful military in the Arab world, ranked 23rd, followed by Algeria with a ranking of 26.
Somalia came out to be the weakest Arab military force and is ranked 142nd. Three Arab League member states, Comoros, Djibouti and Palestine are not included in the list.
The US has the world’s most powerful military force, followed by Russia and China.
According to the index, the rankings are based on each nation’s war-making capability across land, sea, and air fought by conventional means.
The results incorporate values pertaining to manpower, natural resources, finances, equipment, and geography.
