Under this collaboration, Meezan Bank will offer Shariah-compliant financing options for electric bikes to Daraz delivery personnel and riders across the nation.

The signing of the MoU took place in the presence of senior executives from both organizations, with Syed Iftikhar ul Haq, Group Head of Consumer Finance at Meezan Bank, and Ahmed Tanveer, Chief Operating Officer of Daraz Pakistan, putting pen to paper.

Syed Iftikhar ul Haq expressed his enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, “We are excited to collaborate with Daraz in promoting electric bikes in Pakistan. Together, we are working to reduce emissions and provide a more cost-effective and eco-friendly transportation solution that will benefit both our environment and the local community.”

Ahmed Tanveer echoed this sentiment, emphasizing Daraz’s commitment to improving the delivery experience for customers while actively contributing to a greener and more sustainable Pakistan. Through their collaboration with Meezan Bank, they aim not only to encourage environmentally responsible practices but also to offer their riders a more economically viable solution, particularly in light of rising fuel costs.

The cooperative effort between Meezan Bank and Daraz Pakistan represents a significant step toward a cleaner and more sustainable future for transportation in Pakistan.
