Cricket: New Zealand Announces ODI Squads for India, Pakistan Tours

WELLINGTON: New Zealand announced split ODI squads on Monday for their upcoming tours of Pakistan and India in January to manage staff and player workloads and include the all-rounder Henry Shipley for the first time, New Zealand Cricket Board said.

New Zealand will play 3 ODIs Cricket match each in Pakistan and India.

Test and ODI captains Tim Southee and Kane Williamson will return home after the ODIs in Karachi, on January 10m 12m and 14, along with coaches Shane Jurgensen and Gary Stead, to prepare for the test series against England in mid-February.

Luke Ronchi will take over as head coach for the 3 ODIs on 18, 21, and 24 January and T20s on 27, 29 January, and 1 February against India. He will be assisted by network coaches Paul, Wiseman, and Bob Carter.

Lef-hander Mark Chapman and pace-bowler Jacob Duffy will replace Williamson and Southee, while Tom Latham will play as a captain in the ODI series against India.
