Afghan Taliban acting minister of disaster management Mullah Mohammad Abbas Akhund said that many parts of Afghanistan were now totally cut off by snow. He told BBC that helicopters have been sent to the rescue, but they couldn’t land in the most mountainous areas.

The acting minister said that they are concerned about those people who are still living in the mountainous areas. He added that most of the roads which pass through the mountains have been closed because of snow.
