ISLAMABAD: The Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen said on Tuesday that air defences had intercepted and destroyed three ballistic missiles and four unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) launched by the terrorist Houthi militia towards the Southern Region.
In a statement, the coalition’s official spokesperson, Major General Turki Al-Malki, said air defences had intercepted and destroyed three ballistic missiles launched by the terrorist Houthi militia towards the Eastern Region.
In a separate statement, he said the coalition has also intercepted and destroyed four UAVs launched by the Houthis.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) carried both statements.
The latest interceptions follow a series of similar incidents, SPA reported earlier in recent days.
On October 26, the coalition reported that three UAVs had been intercepted and destroyed in Riyadh and the southern regions. It also reported intercepting and destroying a ballistic missile launched towards Riyadh.
Two ballistic missile launchers destroyed earlier
On the same day, Al-Malki said the coalition had destroyed two missile launchers in Sanaa, one of which had been used to launch the missile towards Riyadh.
In a separate statement carried by SPA on October 26, Al-Malki said the coalition had conducted an operation targeting military facilities in areas controlled by the Houthi militia in Yemen.
