KARACHI: Caretaker Chief Minister Sindh Justice (Retd) Maqbool Baqar has inaugurated three additional facilities inclusions at the Center for Autism Rehabilitation and Training (C-ARTS) in the province here Thursday. He also vowed to provide all sorts of facilities to special persons in the province.
The newly inaugurated facilities included state-of-the-art indoor sports amenities, organic farming training programs, and a dedicated café at C-ARTS. These additions aim to enhance the development and well-being of children with autism.
The newly inaugurated indoor sports facility at C-ARTS aims to contribute to the training of autistic children, promoting not only physical health but also enhancing their abilities. Additionally, the centre has introduced horticulture and a café, embracing a positive approach to the development of children with autism.
The CM said that the institution is a ray of hope not only for Pakistan but for the entire South Asia.
The Chief Minister lauded the dedication and determination of those involved in the success of the institution. He emphasized that C-ARTS is making significant steps in bridging the gap between professionals and autism awareness.
He appreciated C-ARTS for providing not only free services but also transportation and stipends for special children, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder their progress and education. He highlighted the institution’s commitment to dispelling myths and misunderstandings about autism through community awareness programs.
The Chief Minister concluded his remarks by emphasizing the importance of creating a comprehensive and supportive environment for the special children. He expressed his commitment to continue supporting initiatives that contribute to the well-being and development of children with autism, urging a collective effort to connect them to a world where they can dream and fulfil their aspirations.
The event was held in collaboration with the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPD).
