ISLAMABAD: Dr. Gohar Ejaz, Caretaker Federal Minister for Commerce and Industries, on Thursday assured possible facilitation in increasing bilateral trade and economic cooperation with Uzbekistan.
The minister was talking to Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Pakistan Aybek Arif Usmanov, who called on him here in Islamabad, according to a press release issued by the commerce ministry.
The statement said that both sides discussed prospects of mutual trade and expressed optimism about the potential for enhanced trade partnerships and cooperation in different sectors.
Significant step in Pakistan-Uzbekistan ties
The statement added that the meeting marked a considerable step towards fostering closer ties between the two countries and harnessing shared opportunities for development and growth.
Ambassador Usmanov extended his warm felicitations to Dr. Gohar Ejaz for assuming the role of Caretaker Federal Minister.
He also conveyed heartfelt wishes from Uzbekistan’s President and Prime Minister, underlining the importance of nurturing strong relations between the two countries.
