Bugti Nominated Chief Minister Balochistan

QUETTA: Pakistan People Party (PPP) co-Chairman and former President Asif Ali Zardari has nominated former caretaker Interior Minister Sarfraz Bugti as Chief Minister Balochistan.

Sarfraz Bugti took a significant political turn when he tendered resignation from his post a few weeks before the Feb 8 polls in the country, announcing his decision to join Pakistan Peoples Party. As per media reports, no one has so far submitted nominations paper for the position of Chief Minister Balochistan.

Some sources suggests that former President Asif Ali Zardari will announce his nominations.  This announcement holds importance as it will shape the leadership structure in Balochistan, showing the collaborative efforts of various political parties in forming a government in the province.

Similarly, the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) is likely to play a key role in the government formation, sources said.  The political dynamics in Balochistan province are entering a pivotal point with Sarfaraz Bugti’s potential appointment and the political alliances being formed, marking a significant development in the political history of Balochistan.
