BEIJING: China lifts quarantine requirements for overseas travelers on Sunday, ending almost three-year of isolation even as the country battles an increase in Covid-19 cases.
Since March 2020, all passengers had been forced to undertake isolation at centralized government facilities. Chinese citizens rushed to plan tours abroad following officials last month announced that quarantine would not be required.
Quarantine for Travelers
But the expected increase in visitors has led several countries to impose mandatory Covid-19 tests on arrivals from China as it confronts its worst-ever outbreak.

Across Asia, tourist sports are preparing for an increase in Chinese visitors. A shopkeeper in Seoul said that they are working to make a plan to deal with a flood of tourists in the upcoming days. He said that they are looking to hire and preparing to stock up. He said that Chinese tourists are their main customers.

After almost 3-year of closed borders, the country is being reopened to those with study and work visas. According to the immigration authority travel overseas for Chinese people will become easier.
