RIYADH: Leaders from various nations have extended messages of appreciation to King Salman of Saudi Arabia following the successful conclusion of the inaugural joint summit between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN), held in Riyadh.
Bahrain’s King Hamad expressed gratitude to his Saudi counterpart for hosting the summit, which was presided over by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He lauded the deep-rooted historical relations and strong cooperation between Saudi Arabia and Bahrain and their people, emphasizing the positive outcomes of the summit, which he believed would further enhance relations with ASEAN countries, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Qatari Emir Expresses Gratitude for Warm Summit Hospitality
Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad thanked the Kingdom leadership for their warm hospitality during the summit. In separate messages, he expressed his hopes that the event would strengthen ties between GCC and ASEAN states and conveyed his best wishes for the well-being of the king and crown prince, as well as further progress and prosperity for Saudi Arabia.
Kuwait’s Crown Prince, Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, also commended Saudi Arabia for hosting the summit. He noted that it reinforced the Kingdom’s significant role on both regional and global fronts. The summit demonstrated Saudi leadership’s commitment to expanding cooperation among participating nations across various fields, addressing mutual concerns in the face of ongoing global challenges.

Sheikh Mishal applauded the work contributing to the summit’s success and expressed hope that the discussions and recommendations would further bolster the Gulf-Asian partnership, paving the way for a prosperous future for all participating states.
