ISLAMABAD: The first batch of the Australian cricket team arrived in Pakistan’s capital city Islamabad on Friday night, ahead of their three-match ODI series, scheduled to begin on May 30 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Upon arrival, the players were escorted to their hotel where they will rest and acclimatise before commencing training sessions at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.

Series Schedule

1st ODI: May 30 – Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi

2nd ODI: June 2 – Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore

3rd ODI: June 4 – Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore

All matches are scheduled to begin at 4:30 PM local time.

This ODI series holds special significance as it marks Australia’s first 50-over tour of Pakistan since March and April 2022, when the Men in Green secured a 2-1 series victory on home soil. Earlier this year, Australia toured Pakistan for a three-match T20I series in January and February, where the hosts completed a 3-0 clean sweep at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

For Pakistan, the series serves as valuable preparation ahead of their future international commitments, while Australia will be eager to bounce back from their previous white-ball struggles in the country.

The Australian squad is expected to have their first practice session in the coming days as they adjust to local conditions.

Cricket enthusiasts in both nations are eagerly awaiting the first ball on May 30, with tickets expected to sell out quickly for what promises to be a fiercely contested ODI battle.
