ISLAMABAD: At least 10 people were taken to hospitals after a shooting at a party near Arcadia Lake in the suburb of Edmond, north of Oklahoma City, local authorities said.
Police spokesperson Emily Ward said officers received multiple reports of gunfire at around 9 p.m. during a gathering of young people near the lake, according to Ap News.
She confirmed that at least 10 individuals were transported to hospitals, adding that more victims may have reached medical facilities on their own.
The injured were reported to be in “various conditions.”
The shooting took place at a popular recreational area about 13 miles (21 kilometres) north of Oklahoma City. The lake is frequently used for picnicking, camping, fishing and water sports.
Authorities have not yet released details about suspects or the motive, and the investigation is ongoing.
