ANKARA: The foreign ministers of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) met in Laos on Tuesday in preparation for the upcoming leaders’ summit.
The meeting was led by Laos’ Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Saleumxay Kommasith, and included participation from ASEAN Secretary-General Kao Kim Hourn and senior diplomats from member countries.
According to a statement on X, the ministers focused on preparations for both the 44th and 45th ASEAN Summits.
The leaders’ summit is set to begin on Wednesday, with several ASEAN leaders already arriving in Vientiane for the event, which will take place from Wednesday to Friday.
