ISLAMABAD: An exhibition based on Islamic architecture and culture in Hungary was held here on Friday in Punjab University.
The exhibition was held at the University College of Art and Design at Punjab University. The Ambassador of Hungary Bela Fazekas and the Secretary of Investment Asad-ur-Rahman Gilani participated in the exhibition.
The Ambassador of Hungary Bella Fazekas welcomed the guests at the art exhibition and said that the Islamic culture is protected in Hungary and it has traces of ancient Islamic architecture.

Architecture of Ottoman Empire
“We want people here to know about the Islamic heritage in Hungary. The architecture of the Ottoman Empire is impressive. In 2013, the Turkish and Hungarian governments launched projects to secure Islamic buildings, in both countries,” Bella Fazekas.

He said that Hungary, Turkiye, and Pakistan are developing excellent relations. Ertugrul Ghazi’s drama serial also became very popular in Hungary.
Cultural year to be feted by Hungary, Turkiye
He added that Hungry will also celebrate a joint cultural year with Turkiye next year. The first two principals of the Punjab University Oriental College, Dr. GW Leitner, and Dr. Sarmark Oral Stein came from Hungary.
