Arab Nations Offer Condolences to Nepal Over Plane Crash

DUBAI: Arab nations have extended their condolences to Nepal after a plane crashed, killing all 72 people on board.

In a statement, the GCC council expressed its deepest sympathy and solidarity with Nepal.

The Yeti Airlines plane was on a scheduled flight from Katmandu to Pokhara, carrying 57 Nepali citizens, two South Koreans, five Indians, four Russians,  and one person each from France, Argentina, Ireland, and Australia.

The UAE, Jordan, and Kuwait Foreign ministries also expressed their solidarity with the government of Nepal and with the victims’ families.

Rescuers recovered 68 dead bodies out of the 72 people onboard the ATR 72 plane.

On Monday, rescuers resumed search operation for four people still missing.
