ISLAMABAD: The All Parties Conference (APC) on Thursday called upon the Muslim Ummah to take practical measures to ensure full support and assistance to Palestinian people, who are facing unprecedented agony due to Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The APC participants asked the Government of Pakistan to play an active role in ending the violence in Gaza and convey the anger of the entire Muslim Ummah over the injustice and Israeli brutalities with the Gaza people.
They sought a leading role of Pakistan at the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to end the Israeli terror on the Gaza strip.
Silence of Rights organizations on Gaza condemned
They also denounced the international human rights organizations for keeping silence instead of playing their due role to protect the rights of Palestinian people.
Ms Uzma Gul hosted the All Parties Conference at the Palestinian Embassy that was addressed by Palestinian Ambassador Ahmed Jawad Rabei, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leaders Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Hafiz Masood Kamaluddin and Chaudhry Shafique-ur-Rehman Warraich, Head of Ansar Ummah Maulana Fazlur Rahman Khalil, MQM’s Haider Abbas Rizvi and others.
Ms Uzam Gul, expressing her views emphasized the significance of the resolution of Palestine cause with the active role of the Pakistani community across the world. She went on to say the hearts of Muslims all over the world beat with their Palestinian brethren.
She warned that the current crisis might spill over to across the region.
Palestinian Ambassador Ahmed Jawad Rabei, in his views expressed his gratitude to the Pakistani people for showing solidarity with the Palestinians.
Ambassador Rabei added that Israeli aggression has brought humanitarian crisis in Palestine, saying over 30,000 people had been killed so far, 74% of them were women and children.
He said Pakistan was one of the first four countries to send aid to Palestine, and expressed the Palestinian people’s unwavering resolve to withstand Israeli aggression.
