ANF Recovers Over 266 kg Drugs in Five Operations

RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) confiscated over 266 kg of narcotics and arrested three suspects while executing five counter-narcotics operations, according to an ANF Headquarters spokeswoman here on Wednesday.

ANF recovered charras

The spokesman disclosed that 167 kg of charras was recovered from Quetta during an operation, and a Quetta resident was detained on suspicion. ANF also removed 85 kilograms of charras from a rainy nullah during a separate operation in the “Kuchlak” region. According to the spokesman, ANF North recovered six kilograms of charras and 4.8 kilograms of opium from a car’s hidden compartments during an operation near the “Thalian” Interchange in Rawalpindi.

In the fourth operation, the ANF arrested a resident of “Nankana Sahib,” who was rounded up from Faisalabad and found to have 3.6 kg of charras. In the sixth operation, ANF successfully seized 80 heroin-filled capsules from a Bahrain-bound passenger from Attock who was traveling on flight GF-791. The spokesman noted that while additional investigations are ongoing, separate proceedings have been filed against the accused.
