ANF for Implementation of National Anti-Narcotics Policy- 2019

RAWALPINDI: Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) on Thursday organized an Inter-Agency Task Force meeting of all law enforcement agencies (LEAs) of the country and other departments engaged in counter-narcotics activities.

Major General Muhammad Aneeq Ur Rehman Malik, Director General ANF, chaired the meeting.

The meeting was attended by Pakistan Coast Guards, Airport Security Force, Federal Board of Revenue, Federal Investigation Agency, Pakistan Maritime Security Agency, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan Railways, Punjab, Sindh, KP, Balochistan and Gilgit-Baltistan police, Pakistan Rangers Punjab and Sindh, Frontier Corps Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Frontier Corps Balochistan, National Highways and Motorways Police, Islamabad Capital Territory Police, Excise Taxation and Narcotics Control Punjab, Afghan Refugees Commissionrate Peshawar, Malakand Levies KP, Balochistan Levies Quetta, Excise and Taxation Sindh, KP, Balochistan, Gilgit-Baltistan and AJK, Civil Aviation Authority and National Logistic Cell (GHQ) Rawalpindi.

While representatives from FWO, DRAP, FMU, PEMRA, PTA, SBP, NIPS, and Phoenix also present in the meeting.

National Anti-Narcotics Policy- 2019 discussed

The main purpose of the huddle was to enforce the National Anti-Narcotics Policy- 2019 through all LEAs at the national level as well as to ponder upon the challenges, enhance mutual coordination and cooperation, and synergize counter-narcotics operations for effective drug control.

The director general stressed the implementation of the National Anti-Narcotics Policy- 2019 and the need to present a joint mechanism to deal with the prevailing drug situation.
