LUXEMBOURG: Pakistan’s ambassador to the European Union (EU), Belgium and Luxembourg Amna Baloch held an interactive engagement with the Pakistani diaspora in Luxembourg and emphasised their inputs to create synergies between Pakistan and Luxembourg innovation ecosystems.
Over the years, the Pakistani diaspora in Luxembourg has increased in numbers, comprising students and professionals.
The envoy joined the community in an event that featured presentations from notables and young professionals of the diaspora.

In her address, she commended the role of the community in projecting Pakistan in Luxembourg.
The envoy also extended the support of the embassy for addressing community problems and activities.

She briefed the community on ongoing engagement tracks with Luxembourg and the EU.
Amna Baloch said that the community outreach initiatives are of profound importance and contribute considerably towards building a positive image of Pakistan.
Ambassador’s meetings
Meanwhile, she also met with representatives of European Investment Bank, including Director Intl Partners Diederick Zambon.
In the meeting, they exchanged views on increasing the bank’s footprint in Pakistan and discussed engagement with the EU Global Gateway Strategy.
Amna Baloch also called on Political Director at the Foreign Ministry of Luxembourg Véronique Dockendorf and discussed the entire gamut of Pak-Luxembourg bilateral ties.
They reiterated the resolve to deepen these in the days to come.

Moreover, Amna Baloch held a meeting with Head of International Relations of Luxembourg’s innovation agency Luxinnovation Jenny Hällen Hedberg.
In the meeting, they discussed the approaches for linking startups ecosystem of Pakistan and Luxembourg besides collaborating on translational research linkages.
