KABUL, Afghanistan: The Afghanistan United Front has claimed that its forces killed a Taliban regime morality police officer in a park in Kandahar province’s Aino Mina township.
The resistance group also released a video of the attack showing a man on a motorbike shooting another man wearing white clothing similar to the one worn by Taliban regime morality police officers.

The United Front said Taliban regime morality police officials beat, torture and humiliate young people and announced that they would now be included on its list of military targets.
The resistance group said this was its first attack targeting officials from the Taliban regime’s morality police.
Earlier, the Afghanistan United Front said its forces carried out attacks against the Taliban regime in five provinces, claiming that 19 Taliban members were killed or wounded in the clashes.
In a statement published Friday night (August 7), the resistance group said the attacks took place in Kandahar, Helmand, Ghor, Baghlan and Badakhshan provinces.
According to the statement, the group’s forces captured two Taliban regime military outposts during the operations and seized a large quantity of weapons and ammunition.

The latest attacks come amid an increase in anti-Taliban armed activity across Afghanistan. Over the past week, these groups have claimed more than 15 attacks in various parts of the country, reporting that dozens of Taliban members, including commanders, were killed or wounded.
On Friday, the Afghanistan Freedom Front (AFF) and the Afghanistan United Front (AUF) claimed four attacks on Taliban regime positions in Kabul, Nangarhar, Ghor and Badakhshan provinces.
The AUF said its fighters carried out two overnight attacks in Ghor and Badakhshan, killing three Taliban members and wounding eight others. The AFF separately claimed two attacks on Taliban regime positions in Kabul and Nangarhar.

The Afghanistan United Front (AUF), led by former Afghan National Army commander Sami Sadat, was established as an anti-Taliban armed opposition group.
On August 2, the group announced the launch of its first military campaign, dubbed “Operation Muharib,” saying its Military Commission would direct operations against the Taliban and other militant groups in Afghanistan.
AUF said the campaign aims to support what it described as the liberation of Afghanistan and the restoration of power to the Afghan people.
Earlier this month, the newly formed anti-Taliban group Sepahian-e Mihan (Soldiers of the Homeland) claimed it had briefly taken control of Yaftal-e Payen district in Badakhshan.
The incident was reportedly the first such seizure of a district since the Taliban returned to power nearly five years ago.
The Taliban regime confirmed the brief loss of control and said it had deployed additional forces and expanded security operations in the area.
