Asian Champions Trophy: China, Pakistan End their Matches in Draw

CHENNAI:  The match between China and South Korea went into a draw while Pakistan and Japan encounter also finished at 3-3 in the ongoing Asian Champions Trophy Hockey tournament.

In China-South Korea match Jonghyun Jang gave an early advantage to the defending champion South Korea, but Chongcong Chen from China scored a goal to equalize the match, played at Mayor Radhakrishnan Hockey Stadium in Chennai.

Both teams displayed excellent hockey skills during the whole match and enthralled the spectators.

China’s team overall dominated the game and the ball remained in their possession most of the time.

Pakistan, Japan hokey match end in another thrilling draw

Another thrilling match of the tournament between Pakistan and Japan also drew 3-3.

Pakistan’s Abdul Rana scored the first goal in the 9th minute of the match which was equalized by Seren Tanaka of Japan within no time. Pakistan again got the lead in the second half with Mohammad Sufyan Khan striking the second goal in a beautiful move.

Ryosei Kato scored another goal in a move made by Takuma Niwa equalizing the game.

Masaki Ohashi then scored Japan’s last goal which was later equalized by Sufyan Khan in the last minutes of the game.
