Hamza Honoured for Raising National Flag at Int’l Arena After 37 Years

ISLAMABAD: Hamza Khan made the entire nation proud in displaying the talent that raised the national flag at the international arena after 37 years when he became the World Junior Champion in squash in Melbourne, Australia.

An impressive ceremony was held at Serena Hotel, Islamabad where the champion was lauded for his hard work a fete accomplished by Jehangir Khan and Jansher Khan in the past.

Hamza overpowered Egyptian player Mohamed Zakaria going first set down 10-12, 14-12, 11-3 and 11-6.

The Sports Diplomacy Initiative by Serena in collaboration with Pakistan Squash Federation had Air Vice Marshal Kazim Hammad also Senior Vice President of PSF gracing the event as chief guest.

Hamza was presented with a trophy along with his family making the event more special.
