MELBOURNE: Pakistan’s Hamza Khan on Saturday qualified for the World Junior Squash Championship final match in Melbourne, making him the first Pakistani player to reach the final phase after fifteen years.

French side player Melvil Scianimanico fought back from 2 games and match ball down, but Hamza Khan succeeded in the game to qualify for the final game.
Pakistan’s player won the game with a scoreline of 11-8, 11-4, 10-12, 9-11 and 13-11.
He is the first Pakistani player to reach the final match of the tournament since Aamir Atlas in 2008.
Earlier, he defeated Malaysia’s Joachim Chuah to reach the next phase of the tournament.
Meanwhile, Pakistani player Huzaifa Khan lost to American player Rishi Srivastava and was eliminated from the final stage.

Three Pakistani players, Huzaifa Ibrahim Khan, Hamza Khan, and Moeen-ud-din were taking part in the championship.
