Iran Seeks Expansion of Cultural Ties with Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Iranian Cultural Counsellor to Pakistan Ehsan Khazaei has said that Tehran wanted the expansion of the cultural ties with the neighbour and brotherly country of Pakistan.

While talking to the official news agency of Pakistan on Thursday, the Khazaei noted that Iran had a rich history of Islamic heritage and culture and it was very optimistic and encouraging that Pakistan was keen to have planning for promoting culture exchanges and film production between the two nations.

The Iranian Ministry of Culture took the initiative for signing an agreement with Islamabad for cultural exchanges.

Cultural Exchanges Between Iran and Pakistan

Ehsan Khazaei said it was high time to learn from the art and cultural experience of each other and have a regular exchange of cultural delegations. The diplomate apprised that Farabi Cinema Foundation in Iran has started working on the philosophy and promotion of the great philosopher and poet Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal.

He said that Iran always remained optimistic to participate in any cultural exchange and film production being held anywhere in Pakistan specifically the film festival adding that Iranian films would be exhibited on the occasion for the promotion of cultural relations between the two brotherly countries.
