ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi signed the Daycare Centres Bill 2023 on Thursday, which will establish such facilities for minor children in both public and private sectors in Islamabad.
According to the President’s House, the president signed the document in accordance with Article 75 of the Constitution.
The federal government would ensure the establishment of daycare centers in departments with at least 70 employees, according to the Bill.
After the first warning, a punishment of up to Rs 0.1 million will be applied in the case of a violation of the law.
Six-month confinement will be imposed if the formation of a daycare center is further delayed.
