Tea For Harmony Event Will Be Held On 21 May

ISLAMABAD: In a bid to give tea a greater role to play in enhancing friendly talks and mutual learning between different civilizations, the worldwide event known as “Tea for Harmony: Yaji Cultural Salon” will be held on 21 May 2023, the International Tea Day by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China.

The event would be organized with the cooperation of international organizations and Chinese embassies, consulates, and missions abroad, and by means of overseas China Cultural Centers and China National Tourist Offices.

“In honor of the next International Tea Day as well as upcoming Tea Yaji event, China Cultural Center in Pakistan is going to announce the release of our new Chinese tea video series, Tea and Harmony – Yaji Cultural Salon”, China Cultural Center in Pakistan said in a statement on Wednesday.

This event aims to promote and spread China’s bountiful tea culture in Pakistan and to the rest of the world but would also help implement the rural revitalization strategy to upgrade the Chinese tea industry in thousands of counties, townships, and villages.

These series of online activities include photography and video exhibitions such as “The Tea Road”, Tea Story of Fujian”, “Chinese tea culture”, “ Tea culture of Hubei”, and “Tea Culture of Yunnan”,.

The centuries-old tea culture has attracted new and fresh interest worldwide by adding “the traditional tea processing techniques and associated social practices in China” to UNESCO’s List of the Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

 

Since it was 1st consumed in China, tea has served as a bridge between China and the rest of the world.

 

Tea has also played a great role in connecting China to the rest of the world, serving as a bridge between cultures and a medium for sharing traditions and customs.
