PESHAWAR: The district administration and sports office will jointly organize Lawari Snow Festival on March 12 (Sunday) in district Upper Dir.
Deputy Commissioner Tariq Khan will inaugurate the festival. The event would include fireworks, music, a cultural show, a food competition, and local sports, including rugby, tug of war, and volleyball.
“Festivals to attract more tourists”
The students of colleges, schools and local teams would participate in different sports activities while renowned local singers would perform at the music show. The Deputy Commissioner said that the event aims at attracting more tourists to the region besides providing business and entertainment opportunities to the local communities.
Siddiq Ullah, the District Sports Officer, met the Deputy Commissioner at his office and briefed him about the event. He also presented a T-shirt with the event’s logo to the DC. — APP
