RIYADH: Argentine football Lionel Messi will visit the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) later this month to discover the country’s touristic destinations. Ahmed Al-Khateeb, Saudi Arabia’s minister for tourism, welcomed the decision of Paris Saint-Germain F.C (PSG) player and his family to visit Saudi Arabia. In a statement via Twitter, the minister said that he is very happy to receive Saudi tourism envoy Lionel Messi on his 2nd trip to the Kingdom.

The PSG’s start visited the KSA last May for Jeddah festival and visited different sites during his stay in the costal. Messi led team of Argentina won the FIFA World Cup in Qatar last year. He has a large international fanbase with hundreds of millions of followers on social media.
Saudi Ministry of Tourism is tasked with showcasing the Kingdom’s natural and cultural treasures to local and international tourists as part of reforms known as Saudi Vision 2030.
