RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s envoy to Yemen Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Jaber and United Nations Special envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg on Tuesday discussed ways to support UN efforts in order to reach a comprehensive political solution to end crisis in Yemen.

The two officials held meeting in Riyadh and reviewed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s economic, political, developmental, and relief efforts to assist the government and people in Yemen. The two sides also discussed ways to support Yemen stability, security and development.

The UN envoy added that he also held meeting with the new Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Al-Budaiwi and senior officials of KSA and discussed means to expand humanitarian and economic measures, and to progress toward a ceasefire and an inclusive Yemeni-owned political process as per UN auspices.
