RIYADH: King Saud Medical City, a member of the Riyadh First Health Cluster, has launched a unified digital operating model to manage and improve its home healthcare services, marking a further step towards enhancing operational efficiency, improving the quality of patient care, and accelerating digital transformation across the healthcare sector.
The new model has been developed to streamline home healthcare operations through an integrated digital system that covers the entire service delivery process, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Monday.
It includes patient registration and data management, intelligent scheduling of home visits, allocation of healthcare teams and vehicles, and the coordination of both in-person and virtual consultations.

The system also enables the monitoring of clinical services, the measurement of key performance indicators, and the preparation of operational reports.
By bringing these functions together within a single framework, the model is designed to improve coordination between field teams and support the efficient delivery of healthcare services to patients in their homes.
According to the medical city, the initiative aims to make better use of available human resources and transport facilities, reduce reliance on manual procedures, and improve the accuracy and reliability of operational data.
The unified digital model also provides up-to-date operational information to support faster, data-driven decision-making. By monitoring performance and identifying areas requiring improvement, healthcare administrators can strengthen service planning, address operational challenges and enhance the continuity of care provided to beneficiaries.
The launch reflects King Saud Medical City’s ongoing efforts to modernise healthcare delivery through digital solutions and more integrated operational systems. It also highlights the growing importance of home healthcare in providing accessible, coordinated and patient-centred services while improving the overall experience of beneficiaries.
Through this initiative, King Saud Medical City aims to establish a more efficient and responsive home healthcare system that supports service quality, operational sustainability and the wider digital transformation objectives of Saudi Arabia’s healthcare sector.
