ISLAMABAD: A Chinese company is planning to establish a modern textile export hub in Pakistan, with a major investment in fabric and garment manufacturing aimed at expanding the country’s textile exports and creating thousands of employment opportunities, state-run Radio Pakistan reports.
CEO of Challenge Fashion Chen Yan said the company had already exported textiles worth more than $300 million from Pakistan, highlighting its growing role in the country’s textile and apparel sector.
She said the company was now planning to establish a large-scale manufacturing facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology for the production of fabrics and garments.
According to Chen Yan, the proposed project is expected to create more than 25,000 jobs, providing significant employment opportunities while strengthening Pakistan’s textile manufacturing capacity.
The company also aims to increase Pakistan’s textile export earnings through the new facility, with annual exports projected to exceed $400 million once the project reaches full operation.

The planned investment is expected to further integrate Pakistan into international textile supply chains and support the expansion of value-added textile and garment production in the country.
The project also reflects growing interest among Chinese companies in Pakistan’s manufacturing and export sectors, particularly in industries where the country has an established production base and access to international markets.
With the proposed use of advanced manufacturing technology, the facility is expected to focus on improving production capacity and supporting the export of higher-value textile and garment products.
