ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Thursday formed a committee to initiate talks with the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leadership on the country’s prevailing political situation.
The development comes amid continued political tensions following the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s announcement of an Islamabad march on October 4.

The meeting decided that a joint delegation comprising representatives of the federal government and the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) would meet the PTI leadership the following day to discuss the current political situation.
