CAIRO: Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held talks in Cairo on strengthening strategic relations between the two countries, with regional and maritime security, freedom of navigation, and developments in the Middle East.
The meeting was held at Al-Ittihadiya Palace in Cairo, where the two leaders held a bilateral meeting and an expanded session of talks, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) on Tuesday.

President El-Sisi welcomed the Crown Prince to his second home, Egypt, while the Crown Prince expressed his appreciation for the warm hospitality and gracious reception extended to him and his accompanying delegation.
The two leaders reviewed the strategic bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to further develop them across various fields.
Developments in the Middle East
They also discussed several issues concerning the Arab and Islamic worlds, developments in the Middle East, particularly matters related to regional security and stability, including maritime security and freedom of navigation, and ways to coordinate efforts in this regard.
The meeting was attended by Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, Minister of State, Cabinet Member, and National Security Advisor Dr. Musaed bin Mohammed Al-Aiban, Minister of State and Cabinet Member for Shura Council Affairs Dr. Essam bin Saad bin Saeed and Secretary to the Crown Prince Dr. Bandar bin Obaid Al-Rasheed, and several high-ranking officials from the Egyptian side.

Earlier, the Saudi Crown Prince arrived in Cairo on an official visit to Egypt. He was received at Cairo International Airport by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The visit is being carried out upon the directive of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
Egypt condemns Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia
Meanwhile, Egypt strongly condemned the recent attacks against Saudi Arabia, describing them as a blatant violation of the principles and provisions of international law and a serious threat to regional security and stability.
In a statement, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed its firm rejection of such attacks and warned against their recurrence, stressing that acts of this nature only exacerbate tensions and further escalate the already volatile situation in the region.
Egypt also reaffirmed its full solidarity with and unwavering support for the Kingdom in confronting any threats to its security and sovereignty, emphasizing that the national security of Egypt and Saudi Arabia is inseparable.
