DUBAI, UAE: Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bowl first against Pakistan in the second semi-final of the ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2026 at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Friday.

Pakistan, who finished second in Group A, reached the last four after victories over Thailand and Hong Kong, while they suffered a heavy defeat against arch-rivals India.

Sri Lanka, meanwhile, advanced to the semi-finals unbeaten after winning all three of their group matches against Bangladesh, the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia.
The two sides have faced each other 24 times in Women’s T20Is, with Pakistan holding a narrow advantage. The Green Shirts have won 12 matches, while Sri Lanka have secured 11 victories, with one match ending without a result.

The winner of Friday’s semi-final will meet India in the final on September 13. India booked their place in the title clash after defeating Bangladesh by 40 runs.
