LONDON, England: Pakistan cricket team players and officials on Wednesday met King Charles at Clarence House, the historic royal residence in London, where the monarch commended the squad and appreciated Pakistan’s contributions to peace and security in the region.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi was also present at the meeting, where the King spoke with the players and team officials in a warm and cordial interaction.

According to Naqvi, King Charles encouraged the Pakistani players and praised the country’s efforts for peace. The King also discussed cricket and Pakistan’s efforts to maintain peace and security in the country with Naqvi, reflecting the monarch’s continued interest in the region’s affairs.

During the meeting, the British high commissioner told King Charles that Pakistan and Naqvi had played an important role in efforts for peace in the region, highlighting the country’s constructive diplomatic engagement.

Naqvi described the meeting with King Charles as “very productive” and expressed optimism about the positive outcomes of the royal audience.
During the meeting, which was also attended by the British High Commissioner, Pakistan captain Babar presented a signed bat to the King on behalf of the national team.
Meanwhile, the official X handle of the Royal Family shared glimpses of the monarch’s meeting with the Pakistan men’s cricket team, posting: “This afternoon, The King welcomed the Pakistan National Cricket Team to Clarence House.”
