RIYADH:  Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with global technology company Lenovo on the sidelines of LEAP 2026 in Riyadh to explore strategic cooperation opportunities aimed at advancing innovation in the industrial sector.

The agreement establishes a framework for the two companies to identify areas of collaboration and leverage their combined expertise to support the development of advanced industries and innovative technological capabilities in the Kingdom and beyond, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Wednesday.

Under the MoU, SABIC and Lenovo will explore opportunities to combine their capabilities in areas including industrial development, knowledge transfer and technological advancement.

The agreement reflects the companies’ shared commitment to supporting Saudi Arabia’s transformation into a global hub for innovation and advanced industries.

The planned investments are expected to strengthen local capabilities, promote knowledge transfer and research, and help develop Saudi talent in engineering, advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies.
