CAIRO: President of the Arab Parliament Mohamed Al-Yammahi has strongly condemned Israel’s rejection of the roadmap to complete the implementation of the Gaza peace plan, including the proposal put forward by US President Donald Trump and endorsed by the UN Security Council under Resolution 2803.
Al-Yammahi described Israel’s position as a blatant challenge to international will and a deliberate effort to undermine political and diplomatic initiatives aimed at ending the war and easing the suffering of the Palestinian people, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Tuesday.
In a statement, he welcomed the joint statement issued by several Arab and Islamic countries, which held Israel responsible for obstructing peace efforts.

He urged the international community, along with regional and international parliamentary bodies, to take a stronger position against Israel’s continued intransigence and to exert effective political and legal pressure to ensure compliance with the roadmap and an end to violations against the Palestinian people.
He further called for the full implementation of relevant international resolutions, with the ultimate aim of ending the occupation and establishing an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.

MWL Condemns Israel’s rejection of road map to end Gaza Conflict
The Muslim World League (MWL) also condemned Israel’s rejection of the Road Map to implement US President Donald Trump’s Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict.
In a statement issued by its General Secretariat, MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organisation of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa denounced the rejection, describing it as a continuation of Israel’s persistent policies of violating international laws and UN resolutions and undermining all peace efforts, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
Al-Issa stressed the urgent need to compel Israel to fully comply with the commitments stipulated in US President Donald Trump’s Comprehensive Plan and its accompanying Road Map, and to move forward with implementing the plan’s second phase while preventing any party from obstructing its implementation.
Foreign Ministers of Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Indonesia, Turkiye, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, on Sunday strongly condemned Israel’s rejection of US President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war in Gaza.

In a joint statement, they said such rejection confirms that Israel now bears responsibility for obstructing the efforts to bring peace in Gaza and the rest of the Occupied Palestinian Territory.
“These positions amount to a direct repudiation of the Comprehensive Plan, jeopardize its implementation, and fundamentally undermine the collective efforts undertaken to achieve a just and lasting peace,” the statement said.
The ministers categorically rejected any efforts to deny or prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state, including through unilateral actions.
Ministers call for stronger US engagement
The ministers stressed the importance of continued and active US engagement to ensure Israel fully complies with its commitments and the arrangements outlined in the Comprehensive Plan and its Road Map. They also called for measures to prevent further delays, obstruction, or setbacks in their implementation.

They further emphasised that Israel would bear direct and full responsibility for any consequences arising from continued rejection, obstruction, delay, or non-compliance, including any deterioration in the situation on the ground and any disruption to efforts aimed at ending the war in Gaza.
They emphasised that a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace can only be achieved through the implementation of the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent and sovereign Palestinian state along the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in line with international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.
Any attempt to undermine or foreclose Palestinian statehood, they warned, would directly threaten prospects for peace, security, and stability across the region.
