NEW YORK: At least 300 children have been killed in Gaza over the past 300 days, averaging one child every day, according to the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF), which warned that children continue to bear the brunt of the ongoing conflict.
UNICEF said hundreds more children were injured during the same period as civilians remained exposed to relentless military strikes, including shelling, gunfire and naval attacks.
The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said children in Gaza continue to endure severe humanitarian conditions, including overcrowded shelters, limited access to clean water and inadequate healthcare services.

Israeli settler violence continues to disrupt lives of Palestinians
In the occupied West Bank, OCHA reported that Israeli settler violence and military operations continue to disrupt the lives of Palestinian communities.
Overnight, Israeli settlers allegedly set fire to homes in the Palestinian community of Tuba, in the Masafer Yatta area of Hebron, forcing three families, including 14 children, to flee and seek shelter with relatives and neighbors.
Several residents, including two children, were injured in the attack. OCHA added that a solar power system, 10 tonnes of animal feed and other property were also destroyed.
Between January and the end of July, OCHA documented more than 1,380 incidents involving Israeli settlers that resulted in casualties, property damage or both, averaging six to seven incidents each day across approximately 250 Palestinian communities.
2,300 Palestinians displaced
The agency said more than 2,300 Palestinians were displaced during the same period due to settler violence and related access restrictions. It reiterated its call for the protection of civilians across the occupied Palestinian territories and urged that those responsible for attacks against civilians be held accountable.
Meanwhile, in the Jerusalem Governorate, thousands of Palestinians in Qalandia refugee camp remained under movement restrictions for a second consecutive day after Israeli forces launched a large-scale operation in the area.
OCHA said humanitarian organisations were unable to safely access the camp, raising concerns over residents’ ability to obtain emergency medical care, essential services and access to their workplaces.
Israel has killed over 73,000 Palestinians, including over 20,000 children, in its war on Gaza since October 2023. Analysts say this figure is an undercount and that the actual death toll could be three times higher.
Israel has violated Gaza ceasefire more than 3,795 times since the agreement went into effect, killing at least 1,254 Palestinians in near-daily attacks since October 10, 2025.
Muslim nations condemn Israeli violations in Gaza
Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and six other Arab and Muslim countries on Thursday strongly condemned the ongoing Israeli violations in the Gaza Strip, including attacks on healthcare facilities, civilian infrastructure and the continued killing of civilians.

In a joint statement, the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Qatar, Indonesia, Pakistan, Egypt and Turkiye said the actions constitute “grave violations” of international law and international humanitarian law, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

The ministers affirmed that the continuation of these violations constitutes a clear breach of Israel’s obligations under international law and the Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict, undermines international and regional efforts aimed at implementing the second phase of the plan, particularly following the announcement by US President Donald Trump that the Palestinian factions accepted the roadmap, including the provisions relating to the confinement of weapons, and threatens to derail the political process, reignite the cycle of escalation, and further deepen the humanitarian catastrophe in the Gaza Strip.
