ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and Türkiye have expressed deep concern over the deteriorating situation in the Palestinian territories, condemning continued Israeli military actions in Gaza and the Occupied West Bank while calling for enhanced diplomatic coordination among Muslim nations.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan on Thursday to discuss recent regional and international developments, according to Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The two leaders focused primarily on the conflict in Palestine, expressing alarm over the worsening humanitarian situation in Gaza. They were also concerned about continued military operations in the Occupied West Bank and repeated violations at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem.

Both sides reaffirmed their “unwavering support” for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people and underscored the need for coordinated international efforts to address the crisis.
Jordan proposed conference on Palestine
During the conversation, the foreign ministers also discussed a proposal Jordan forwarded to convene a meeting of Arab and Islamic countries to strengthen diplomatic engagement and build consensus in support of the Palestinian cause.
Pakistan and Türkiye have consistently advocated for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
They have also stressed the need for unhindered humanitarian access and renewed efforts toward a just and lasting resolution of the conflict based on international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.
Islamabad and Ankara maintain close diplomatic ties and frequently coordinate positions on key regional and global issues, particularly those concerning the Muslim world.
Both countries have repeatedly called for the protection of civilians and the preservation of Islamic holy sites amid heightened tensions in the region.
The latest exchange comes amid growing international concern over the humanitarian toll of the conflict.
The bilateral contact reflects increasing calls from governments worldwide for intensified diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation across the Middle East.
