DAMBULLA, Sri Lanka: The Pakistan women’s cricket team has arrived in Dambulla for their T20I series against Sri Lanka, which has been relocated from the originally scheduled venue of Hambantota.
Upon arrival, the Pakistan women’s cricket team received a warm traditional welcome in Dambulla ahead of the T20I series. Each player and official was presented with gifts, while captivating performances of traditional Sri Lankan dances mesmerised the visitors, setting a vibrant tone for the tour.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) have confirmed that while the venue for the T20I leg has been revised, the tour dates remain unchanged, with all three matches now set to be played in Dambulla.
The three-match T20I series will commence on 31 July, followed by the second T20I on 2 August and the final match on 4 August.
Hambantota had originally been scheduled to host both the ODI and T20I legs of the tour, but the cricket boards opted to shift only the T20I fixtures to Dambulla for logistical reasons.
