KARACHI: The Style Runway Fashion Show Pakistan Season 18, held at Karachi’s historic Clock Tower, became one of the country’s most talked-about fashion events—not because of its couture, but due to a series of runway stumbles involving celebrities and models that quickly went viral on social media.
Videos circulating on Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and X showed several participants, including Mathira, Sahiba Afzal, and Maria Gul Jan, stumbling or nearly falling while walking the runway.
Despite the awkward moments, each regained composure and completed their walk professionally.

The clips drew thousands of reactions online. While many social media users joked that the event featured “more falls than walks,” others defended the participants, suggesting slippery runway conditions, steep heels or the stage design may have contributed to the incidents. No injuries were reported, and the event continued as scheduled.
Fashion and Celebrity Appeal
Despite the viral mishaps, the show showcased the latest bridal couture and party wear collections from leading Pakistani designers.
Held under the banner of Style Runway Fashion Show Pakistan Season 18, the event brought together prominent models and showbiz personalities, including Sahiba Afzal, Sunita Marshall, Hiba Ali Khan, Mathira and Nimra Shahid, who walked the runway in designer creations.
Veteran actress Sahiba Afzal described the event as a colourful and glamorous experience, saying she was pleased to return to the runway after a long break.
She said the organisers had persuaded her to participate, as she rarely takes part in fashion shows.
The event concluded with enthusiastic applause as designers presented their signature creations through runway displays by leading models, reaffirming Karachi’s status as one of Pakistan’s leading fashion capitals despite the unexpected viral moments.
