CAIRO, Egypt: Egypt renewed its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia, affirming its unequivocal rejection and condemnation of the attack on a Saudi vessel and all attacks targeting civilian facilities and transport or threatening the security and freedom of navigation in the Red Sea and international waterways.
In a statement issued by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, Egypt stressed the great importance of respecting, guaranteeing, and protecting freedom of international navigation in all straits and international passages in the region.
Egypt also emphasised the need to ensure the movement of international trade and global supply chains, in line with the provisions of international law and the United Nations Charter.
Jordan condemns Houthi militia attack on Saudi vessel
Meanwhile, the Jordanian government condemned the Houthi militia’s attack on a Saudi vessel while it was transiting the Red Sea.
Jordan described the Houthi militia’s attack as a flagrant violation of international law and the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, as well as a threat to maritime security and safety.

In a statement, Jordan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the country’s rejection and condemnation of the attack, stressing its full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures the Kingdom takes to protect its security, stability, and resources.
