RIYADH: Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan has discussed recent developments in the Gaza Strip and the Occupied Palestinian Territory with Palestinian Vice President Hussein Al-Sheikh.
During the call, the two sides also discussed ways to enhance joint efforts in support of the aspirations of the brotherly Palestinian people, the Saudi Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday.
“They also discussed a number of regional issues of mutual interest,” it said.

Earlier this month, a Palestinian delegation praised Saudi Arabia’s humanitarian and relief efforts in Gaza, delivered through the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Centre (KSrelief).
A delegation of Palestinian families and tribal leaders in the Gaza Strip said this during a meeting with the head of the Saudi Centre for Culture and Heritage, Dr Issam Abu Khalil, at the centre’s headquarters in Gaza.
Dr Abu Khalil said the Kingdom’s humanitarian assistance reflects the deep fraternal ties between Saudi Arabia and the Palestinian people.
KSrelief has implemented 155 humanitarian projects in Palestine worth more than $542 million, making the territory one of its largest beneficiaries.

Israeli military attacks killed at least 13 Palestinians across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, including five members of the same family, according to medical sources, as violence continued despite the US-brokered October 2025 ceasefire.
Local sources, cited by Wafa news agency, said a father, mother and their three children were killed on Saturday evening when an Israeli warplane struck their apartment in the Al-Nasr neighbourhood of western Gaza City.
The ministry said Israeli actions since the ceasefire came into effect on October 10, 2025, have killed 1,144 Palestinians and wounded 3,703 others. It added that 802 bodies had also been recovered from beneath the rubble during the same period.
The ministry said that since the start of the Gaza war in October 2023, at least 73,269 Palestinians had been killed and 173,811 wounded.
