PANJGUR, Pakistan: Adeeba Zaheer, president of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) in Panjgur, announced her separation from the group after realizing that it is only being used to support anti-state elements and promote hatred against Pakistan and people of other ethnicities and is not sincere to the values and progress of Baloch people.

Adeeba said that she would remain loyal to Pakistan and dissociate herself from the organisation which is involved in anti-state activities.

In a statement delivered at the press conference, Adeeba Zaheer said she regretted her past association with the BYC and apologised for participating in activities and slogans against Pakistan’s security institutions.

“I regret that I was previously associated with the BYC (Baloch Yakjehti Committee). I also participated in BYC gatherings and raised slogans against national security institutions, for which I feel remorse,” she said.

She added that she would have “no connection, association or membership” with the organisation in the future.

Adeeba Zaheer said she would remain committed to the Constitution of Pakistan, national unity and the rule of law.

“I will always remain loyal to the State of Pakistan,” she said, adding that she would refrain from supporting any organisation, group or individual acting against Pakistan, its institutions, armed forces or national interests.

She further stated that her declaration was made voluntarily. “I am making this press conference statement of my own free will, without any pressure or coercion,” she said.

Zaheer also described herself as a peaceful citizen and pledged to stay away from any illegal or anti-state activity.

The Baloch Yakjehti Committee is involved in promoting anti-state narratives and creating unrest in the country.

The group is being used to support anti-state elements and spread hatred against Pakistan and people belonging to other ethnic communities.

People in Balochistan had become disillusioned with the group’s “false claims” and anti-state activities.
